12. 1914 Cyclone Stripped-Stock Model Racer.
Cataloged as the Model 7, R-15, Cyclone sold this model to the sporting
rider who wanted to race on the weekend. This is the sole example of a
stripped-stock model known to have survived. It differs from the
boardtrack racer by virtue of having a clutch and a rear brake. Unlike
the road model, the stripped-stock machine features dropped racing handlebars,
no rear frame suspension, and a special rigid front fork. Cyclones
were not always painted yellow, this example is dark blue.
