    1926 Harley-Davidson "Direct-action" 2-Cam.

    On the 4th of July, 1925, Joe Petrali, riding a machine very similar to this one, achieved the long-sought racing goal of riding a 100-mile race in less than one hour. The 21 year-old Petrali won the 100-mile National Championship at the Altoona, Pennsylvania board track in 59 minutes, 47-1/5 seconds.
