Unfortunately, the Cyclone's innovative engine design and success on the race track did not insure its survival. The motorcycle proved too expensive to build and sell at a competitive price, and the management of the Joerns firm was unwilling to underwrite further development. By the end of 1915, production was discontinued. It is unknown how many Cyclones were built, but not more than a dozen are known to have survived.
