Although the Cyclone motorcycle is best remembered for its overhead cam motor and bright yellow paint scheme,  early photographs clearly show that these machines were also painted a darker color.  Jim Davis' recollection  (from having raced professionally,  beginning in 1916)  is that the earliest Cyclones were painted dark blue.
